Spring Awakening to Rock Addams-Meddill Park

Spring Awakening is returning to Chicago in Addams-Meddill Park again this year from June 8-10. Spring Awakening has been an electronic music lover’s dream debuting at the height of the EDM craze in Soldier Field all the way back in 2012. Spring Awakening continues to draw in a healthy group of electronic artists from progressive, to trance, to house, to trap music. Every year the festival manages to draw in some of the biggest names in the electronic music industry.

It’s no surprise that Spring Awakening has become a Chicago staple. House music was born in Chicago after all and the love for this style of music and its many offshoots run deep in Chicago. If you’ve ever been to Spring Awakening you undoubtedly have fond memories of the festival. Whether is was the time Jimmy Butler, a Chicago legend in his own right, appeared on stage with Krewella, or when it started pouring rain just as Bassnectar began a killer set, Chicagoans just can’t let the festival die out. The fact that Spring Awakening has been such a wild success is a blessing for all electronic fans in Chicago.

This year we can expect a new group of killer sets. There are too many huge names in electronic music performing to name them all, but the lineup truly is epic, including a number of relatively new electronic artists and some true legends in the industry. To name just a few Spring Awakening attendees will be graced with performances by Afrojack, Tiesto, Hardwell, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Zeds Dead, Gareth Emery, Carnage and a slew of other huge names that I have to say, we feel guilty not including.

Check out the link to Spring Awakening’s website below to check out the full line up and buy tickets. Hurry, because they are almost sold out and electronic music lover will be kicking themselves if they miss this lineup.

Check back in a couple weeks for our coverage and write up of this year’s festival.
