Spring Awakening to Rock Addams-Meddill Park

Spring Awakening is returning to Chicago in Addams-Meddill Park again this year from June 8-10. Spring Awakening has been an electronic music lover’s dream debuting at the height of the EDM craze in Soldier Field all the way back in 2012. Spring Awakening continues to draw in a healthy group of electronic artists from progressive, to trance, to house, to trap music. Every year the festival manages to draw in some of the biggest names in the electronic music industry.

It’s no surprise that Spring Awakening has become a Chicago staple. House music was born in Chicago after all and the love for this style of music and its many offshoots run deep in Chicago. If you’ve ever been to Spring Awakening you undoubtedly have fond memories of the festival. Whether is was the time Jimmy Butler, a Chicago legend in his own right, appeared on stage with Krewella, or when it started pouring rain just as Bassnectar began a killer set, Chicagoans just can’t let the festival die out. The fact that Spring Awakening has been such a wild success is a blessing for all electronic fans in Chicago.

This year we can expect a new group of killer sets. There are too many huge names in electronic music performing to name them all, but the lineup truly is epic, including a number of relatively new electronic artists and some true legends in the industry. To name just a few Spring Awakening attendees will be graced with performances by Afrojack, Tiesto, Hardwell, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Zeds Dead, Gareth Emery, Carnage and a slew of other huge names that I have to say, we feel guilty not including.

KMGTM to Partner with SPK Visuals

KMGTM is excited to announce a partnership with up-and-coming Chicago photography and videography house SPK Visuals! SPK Visuals founder Kye “Special K” Addison has worked with KMGTM founding team, in some capacity for years, and we are excited to see what a more immersed partnership will bring for both firms.

Artist Profile: 

Kye has been working in the videography and photography industries for nearly a decade and is proficient in everything from assisting with storyboarding and planning shoots to post production. With full photo and video production capability and experience, Addison is a force to be reckoned with.

SPK Visual’s is Special K’s newest venture into the photography and cinematography industries. SPK aims to have a relaxed and imaginative feel with his projects taking his viewers into “another world.” ¬†Bringing inspiration from the ability to escape through the art form and create the same sensation for others, Kye is able to create immersive work, that is both engaging and awe-inspiring.
